AEROFEDERATION
ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
This statement was last updated on September 6th, 2025.
We at AERO EMERGING RESEARCH & ONTOLOGY FEDERATION OF INDIA are working to make our site www.aerofederation.org accessible to people with disabilities.
What #AEROFEDERATION accessibility is
In the context of #AEROFEDERATION, accessibility refers to the intentional design of both digital platforms and physical spaces to ensure that individuals of all abilities, including those with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities, can participate fully in the aerospace and aviation community.

For an organization like #AEROFEDERATION, accessibility is defined by three main pillars:

1. Digital Inclusivity (Web Accessibility)

This is the "doorway" to our organization. It means that www.aerofederation.org is built to be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust (the POUR principles).

-
For a screen reader user: It means images have descriptions and buttons are labeled.
-
For a keyboard user: It means navigating the site without a mouse.
-
For a neurodivergent user: It means a clean, predictable layout without flashing elements.
2. Physical Universal Design

Accessibility in our offices or training centers follows the "Universal Design" philosophy, creating spaces that are usable by everyone to the greatest extent possible without the need for adaptation.

-
Mobility: Step-free access, wide corridors for wheelchairs, and accessible restrooms.
-
Sensory: Braille signage, high-contrast visual cues, and hearing loops for those with hearing aids.
-
Logistics: Proximity of disabled parking to the main entrance and clearly marked accessible paths.
3. Ethical #AEROFEDERATION Equity

Beyond technical standards, #AEROFEDERATION accessibility is a moral commitment. It recognizes that "the sky has no limits" should apply to people, not just machines. It involves:

-
Proactive Accommodation: Asking visitors what they need before they arrive.
-
Staff Training: Ensuring your team knows how to assist people with dignity and respect.
-
Transparency: Clearly publishing your accessibility arrangements so visitors can plan their trip with confidence.
Accessibility adjustments on this site
We have meticulously adapted www.aerofederation.org in accordance with the WCAG 2.1 guidelines, achieving Level AA compliance. Our platform is engineered to be fully compatible with assistive technologies, including screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.
To ensure a seamless user experience, we have implemented the following core adjustments:
-
Logical Content Hierarchy: We have defined clear heading structures ($H1$, $H2$, $H3$) across every page to allow screen reader users to navigate the content's architecture easily.
-
Predictable Navigation: The content order of every page is manually set to follow a logical reading flow for keyboard and assistive device users.
-
Visual Accessibility: We have implemented color combinations that strictly meet the required contrast ratios, ensuring legibility for users with low vision or color blindness.
-
Contextual Imagery: All meaningful images include descriptive Alternative Text (Alt-Text), while decorative images are hidden from screen readers to prevent "noise."
-
Language Localization: The site’s primary language is correctly defined in the code, enabling screen readers to pronounce and accent it correctly.
-
Motion Control: We have reduced unnecessary motion, such as auto-playing carousels or flashing elements, to support users with vestibular disorders or photosensitivity.
-
Multimedia Accessibility: We strive to ensure that all video and audio files provided on the site include accessible alternatives or descriptions.
-
Continuous Auditing: We utilize advanced accessibility diagnostic tools to regularly find and resolve potential issues as the site grows.
Declaration of partial compliance with the standarDS due to third-party content [only add if relevant]
While we strive for 100% accessibility, some legacy documents or third-party integrations may currently fall short of our ideal standards. We are actively working with our partners to bring these elements into compliance. If you encounter a specific barrier, please reach out to us. We will provide the information you need through an alternative format that works for you.
